Milk Glass in the Living Room

February 7, 2017 By: lovelandlodge10 Comments

You saw some of my milk glass last week in the dining room and I added more milk glass in the living room. I tend to use more milk glass in winter months. I think it reminds me of the snow that we never have 😉

Succulent in the living room

On the side table, I added a new succulent from Costco (the other two are in the kitchen) so we’ll see how long it lasts. I love succulents but I really do not have the natural light needed to keep them alive. I’m hoping that being this close to the sliding door will help. The little milk glass dish is part of a larger chip and dip set, as seen in last year’s Easter tablescape.

On the coffee table, I swapped out the bowl from Christmas for a mid-height vase picked up at a local flea market. I was super excited to find the taller version of this vase at the flea market over the weekend for $4.50. If you’re in the Atlanta area, my two favorite places to find milk glass pieces are My Favorite Place and Simple Finds. My Favorite Place is your more traditional flea market. It takes a bit of digging to find the good stuff, but the prices are cheaper. Simple Finds is more curated (and they have consignment), but the prices are slightly higher.

On the side table, I set out a cute cream and sugar set that my mom’s (and my) cousin gave me as a gift. A reminder that just because something “belongs” in the kitchen, doesn’t mean you have to put it there.

Oh, and this side table is a Simple Finds find. I have a few side tables from there, and our buffet in the dining room is from there too.

And I’ll share one quick snapshot of the milk glass in the kitchen. You’ve seen this piece in the hall bathroom before. I’m hoping to get some kitchen shelves built soon to house my growing collection!

Your milk glass is so pretty, the cream and sugar set, so cute. I also love the lamp in the photo with your cream and sugar set.

Thank you Celeste! The lamp shade is Target and it’s one of my favorites!
