Happy spring! Kind of? Not sure about where you live, but the weather in Georgia is not currently very spring-like. However, the weather is certainly not stopping me from sharing my spring bouquet tablescape. Maybe if we believe hard enough, spring will actually come?
First, thank you to Chloe at Celebrate and Decorate for inviting me to join in a fun Spring Tablescape Blog Hop. Make sure to check out all of the links at the bottom of this post. There is tons of inspiration for spring and Easter!
Spring Bouquet
After sharing a relatively neutral Easter tablescape last week, I really wanted to bring in some color and play off the springtime flowers. This table setting is even more meaningful to me as I used China from both my dad’s mom and my mom’s mom. I borrowed some of my grandma’s floral China from the guestroom wall, and pulled out some of the LuRae plates from last year’s spring tablescape.
I mixed and matched the dinnerware, using the marigold napkins to tie it all together. A project for this summer is to bring the rest of my grandma’s floral China down from my parents’ house so I can actually create a full table setting!
For the table runner, I wanted to keep the focus on the plates and flowers so used a neutral linen table runner down the center. This is a recent lucky find from the Ballard Outlet in Roswell, Ga. If you’re ever in Atlanta, or live around here, I highly recommend stopping by! It can be hit or miss, but there is some really good stuff to be found.
In the centerpiece, I used two silver plated bowls and some floral foam to create a rounded floral arrangement. These are all grocery store flowers purchased from Kroger. I will say that they didn’t last long using this method, but they sure were pretty while they did live.
My goal was to pull in all the colors in the floral China (Castleton in the Sunnybrooke pattern) – lots of pinks, some yellows and blues.
The silver bowls are also heirlooms (have I mentioned I’m an only grandkid on both sides of my family?). Both were gifts from my cousin, and I love the look of them. The larger one is starting to patina and it’s so pretty!

Hi Jenn, I’m happy to make your acquaintance, and I can tell we have a special connection in the love of vintage! Your table is very pretty with that Castleton Sunnybrooke pattern (psst…run, don’t walk to get the rest of that china!) and LuRay. I love all the florals and together with your center bouquet, it definitely encourages spring. I wish a Ballard outlet was near me, but I’d settle for the retail store as well. The closest to me is about 3.5 hours away in OH. Love your runner as a neutral for anytime!
Happy Spring, Jenn!

Love your color scheme and fresh flowers especially adding the ornamental cabbage. How special to have china from both your families and to use it!
We are all impatient for spring but it is coming soon. We always have a cold snap before Easter. Your table does bring spring to us today.
Enjoying blog hopping this week. Bonnie @livingwiththanksgiving

What a beautiful table! Lets start first with those beautiful floral centrepieces. So pretty, and I love how you have used heirloom pieces. The mismatched china is one of my favorite ways to tablescape. Your Gramma’s china pattern is beautiful, I can see why you would want to set a whole tablescape using it. The use of natural placemats and neutral table coverings provide the perfect backdrop!

So, so pretty Jenn and calming with the pastels you have used. I love the softness and serenity your table provides and the vintage pieces make it even more special. I also love that you have mis-matched pieces in the blues, pinks and yellows. Just lovely.
I have to agree with a few of the other comments that you should get the rest of the china as soon as you can because I can only imagine how beautiful a table would be using all the pieces. Thank you for joining our blog hop.

Jenn, it is so nice to meet you! The Castleton China is beautiful and how nice to have inherited it. I love your centerpiece with its spring flowers! I am from Alabama and we had frost on the ground this morning, hopefully the last one! It is a pleasure to blog hop with you this week. I really enjoyed sitting for a brief visit at your gorgeous table!

Hey Jenn! Your table is very pretty and I love the floral print on the china. I’m always on the lookout for vases and the silver vessels are perfect. The next time I’m in GA I’ll have to check out Ballards. It’s a pleasure to meet and blog hop with you.

This is a wonderful spring table! Your grandmother’s china has such a soft and pretty floral design, perfect for a spring table. Your floral centerpieces are filled with the perfect mix of flowers that compliment the dishes so well. We had several inches of snow yesterday – but the sun is out today and things look a little more like spring is on the way now! Nice hopping with you this week:)

What a beautiful Spring china set. Its delicate and colorful pattern is timeless. It is the perfect set to represent Spring, especially when you pair it with a fresh floral centerpiece like you did. Bright color, fresh flowers speaks volumes in a setting, especially as it contrasts against the cornflower blue candlesticks. It has a fresh, yet historical type of feel. So beautifully done.
