I don’t do too much seasonal decor, but for fall, I do like switch a few things out and bring in some next textures and colors. For the mantle, I hadn’t really updated anything since I shared the last update with the new wreath. One of the main goals with fall decor is to use what I have on hand – it’s more about moving things around and refreshing. Everything on this year’s fall mantle, I already owned. Not to say one or two new items might make an appearance elsewhere. After all, the Target Dollar spot is hard to resist!
The old window replaced the mirror. It wasn’t planned, but there was an unfortunately incident with the mirror falling and shattering. All cool though because I found this replacement at the flea market a few days later.
Pumpkins, Pumpkins and More Pumpkins
I kept the navy blue and white vases, but added in the mercury glass candles holders (Pottery Barn) and the copper pumpkins (last year at Target). After disappearing for two years, I also finally found this pretty carved pumpkin last January when I was cleaning out some old storage bins.
On the other side, I added another copper pumpkin and a pretty blue and white pumpkin, another flea market find.
You’ll see more copper in some other fall posts coming up. Full disclosure – this was the only part of the house that pulled together enough to take pictures of last weekend. Most of the time when you see pictures of my house, just assume there are dog toys and throw pillow strewn about just out of the frame … blogger secrets 😉
