My post-Christmas mantle is pretty simple. While in the past, I’ve styled my mantle in more of an asymmetrical way, I’m really digging the symmetry right now. The rustic winter mantle touches add just the right amount of interest with a chippy window frame, and dried hydrangea and eucalyptus.
I still love the old window I got last year from the flea market. With windows facing the mantle, it’s hard to do a mirror as we get direct sunlight in the afternoon. The previous mirror ended up blinding a few folks …
On either side of the mantle, I added some pretty vases with birch wraps (previously seen in my Christmas kitchen). The two lanterns also stayed from Christmas, but rather than ornaments, each has a tall candle. I think this is the first I’ve actually put a candle in these lanterns!
In the middle of the window, there is a cute little eucalyptus wreath picked up from HomeGoods awhile back. It’s starting to look a little rough around the edges, but the color blends nicely with the dried hydrangea in the vases.
I’m sure I’ll change it up soon enough, but for now, this nice, simple, rustic mantle is all I need 🙂
