Welcome to our fall porch blog hop! I’m so excited to share my fall farmhouse back porch with you, along with seven other wonderful bloggers. Today, myself and three other bloggers are sharing our fall decor. Make sure to check back tomorrow when the other four will go live! You can find all of the links at the end of this post.
Fall at Loveland Lodge
Sadly, I’m using the term “fall” loosely as it’s anything but in Atlanta. We had a few teases in late August, but it’s still in the upper 80s for now. A few of the plants you saw when I shared the porch for spring and summer are still kicking. The geraniums are doing awesome and I will 100% be buying more next year.

I set up the deck as if friends were stopping by for an afternoon beverage. A little red wine and some copper mugs for Moscow Mules make for a perfect fall happy hour.
For the table, I used a Cinderella pumpkin from Lowes, and two other green smaller pumpkins. Since the geraniums are still blooming, I mixed in other greens, purples and pinks to give everything a darker fall vibe.
The runner is a small blanket/towel that I used to keep me warm on cool nights when I hang out on the screened porch (similar one linked here). Think outside the box when it comes to table linens. I’ve used everything from scarves to blankets to wrapping paper.
Welcome to the Porch
Leading up to the porch, I added hot pink mums the steps, along with two black lanterns. And of course, it’s not a post from me without a puppy making an appearance. Luckily, Bogey is pretty darn cute.
On the bench behind the table, I borrowed a few pillows from the living room. A navy and tan blanket covers the brighter blue cushion.
A few more mums, along with cabbage and pumpkins make for a pretty little fall vignette. The twine pumpkin lights up so it’s really pretty at night. I snapped a few photos of the porch all lit up and plan to share those on Tuesday.
Here’s the full view of the back porch. It’s right off our kitchen and dining room. As you can see, there’s still a lot of green happening, but the Dogwoods are starting to turn and a few leaves are falling.

So pretty, I love the pops of pink you have going on they sure stand out and looks so vibrant. Our temps went from the 40’s back to the 80’s and now here in Michigan were dropping again. Many trees are already bare of leaves, especially the Maples. I’m crushing on your black chairs, do they weather well or do you just pull them outside when you need them? I’m thinking of turning part of our sitting area into a dining area on our porch and I’m looking for weather hearty furniture that’s not wicker. Thank you for joining in on the blog hop I’m loving everyones porches.

what a cozy porch! I’m with you on the weather, all my summer blooms are doing just fine even if I am sick of them and ready to replant 😉
Jenn says
Thank you, Lauren! I had a few die on me (mainly due to my own negligence!), but otherwise I’m holding out too until it actually becomes fall.

Jenn your color palette is right up my alley, I adore what you did out here! The pink mums and white pumpkins compliment the blue & white so well. This looks like the perfect place to entertain this fall, enjoy it!

Everything looks so cozy and pretty! I love the idea of thinking outside the box for table linens! I do the same thing. And your hot pink mums are gorgeous!
Jenn says
Thank you, Dara! I usually go with the yellow mums, but am loving the pink this year!

This is a really cool setup! I will admit to thinking Atlanta doesn’t really have a fall and winter on a regular basis, but if leaves are falling…it must be that you do! I visited Augusta several times and remember being surprised at just how cool it could get. Same with Tybee Island. So, hmmm…don’t know why I thought Atlanta was immune! Anyhooooo…This is beautiful! I really like the canopy you have spread over a part of your deck. I’ve been trying to come up with viable solutions for our deck since it would appear hubby has NO intention of forking out the dough to have it enclosed or screened in. Our deck is on the South side of the house, and it can get scalding hot out there in summer. I will be pinning the photo of your canopy for later reference. It appears doable. What fabric did you use, or was it a ready-made canopy? Is it attached using eye screws? Thanks!
Jenn says
Thank you, Alycia! I will say that our fall and winter can be pretty short seasons, but I’m ok with that! The previous owners left the awning, but best we can tell is that it was a ready-made canopy hung with eye screws and connected with s-hooks. I’ll try and take a better picture of the hardware to share with you!

This is fabulous! Has a rustic, calming feel to everything. I LOVE the coordinates pillow. I am just north of you in Southern Middle Tennessee so I understand how it is still feeling summer-ish outside. The nights are cooling down nicely but we’re still in the 80’s, too. I can’t wait until we build our forever home and have an outdoors seating area. These are some great ideas!

Thank you, Shelly! So happy it’s finally cooling off down here!
