I love milk glass and have started collecting a few pieces here and there. We received a beautiful milk glass cake pedestal as a wedding gift and I loved it so much, I decided it needed some friends to keep it company. I don’t want the collection to too overwhelming, but I really like the look of it. I thought I’d share our dining room today and how I’m incorporating some more milk glass into our everyday decor. In addition to the pieces shown below, I also have a smaller chip & dip set that my mother in law gave me for Christmas, and a really pretty jar with a lid that my cousin gave me.
In the dining room, I kept the same table runner I bought from Home Goods to use during Christmas and re-used the spray painted pine cones from the fall again. Telling you, this is by far the most bang for your buck – and by buck, this cost me zero dollars because the pine cones were from the backyard and I had the spray paint on hand. I used a vintage bowl from a chip and dip set that was my grandma’s for the pine cones and a few small twig orbs.
The candle holders were another Christmas gift from my mother in law and the work so well with the bowl in the middle. I’m looking forward to switching out the candle sticks seasonally!
On the buffet, I set out some beautiful Moscow Mule mugs I won in a giveaway from The Inspired Room (did you spot her book on my coffee table earlier this week?) and moved my fake hydrangea to the right on the buffet. I still love the itty bitty eucalyptus wreath I picked up at Home Goods.
Not going to lie – I’m really looking forward to bringing out the spring decor and adding some yellow to this space and storing away the pine cones until next fall!

Thanks! It was the first thing to go on the wall – and the first heavy thing my husband and I hung together – not gonna lie, there was some cursing, but so far, so good!

I love milk glass and I’ve been saying for years that I’m going to start collecting. I always see them at antique stores but they seem a little over-priced. As soon as I find some for a reasonable price I’m starting my collection for sure! Yours look great and I love the incorporation on the table. It’s great that you set them out instead of just storing on a shelf. And side note, those mugs are great!

Thank you for commenting! Agree with you on milk glass being over-priced sometimes – everything I have was either a gift or passed down from a family member, but I still keep an eye out in the antique stores for pieces I really love that are worth paying a little extra for.
