Last week, I shared my fall fireplace mantle and this week, I’m sharing a few more autumn living room touches. Like the mantle, I keep things pretty simple. The idea is more to refresh what I already have, and move things around, adding a fall touch here and there.
Coffee Table
First up is the coffee table. Most of the room hasn’t changed much since I shared the winter updates after last Christmas. The new blue and white ginger jar from Homegoods (first seen in the late summer dining room) moved to the coffee table, along with the chalk painted candlesticks. The milk glass pedestal is filled with some pine cones and twine orbs.
Corralling everything is a picture frame that I re-purposed as a tray. I’m considering what to do with the storage ottoman. I don’t love the dark brown, but I appreciate that it has a ton of storage and doesn’t show dirt. Maybe a slip cover?
Sofa & Side Tables
On the little table by the sofa, I added my dried hydrangeas in a basket. We love this little c-table from World Market. It’s a great size and easy to move if we want to use it as TV tray or laptop table in front of the TV. On the sofa, I swapped out the larger pillows for some plaid pillow covers, mixed with the existing navy blue. I love these plaid pillow covers (from Ikea). They’ll stay out to play until the red makes an appearance for Christmas …
On our other side table, pine cones and other natural elements replaced the green moss balls from summer. I love this little pile of books under the bowl. The bottom book is our wedding album, the middle is golf-related (my husband’s passion) and the top is home decor (my passion – this one is The Inspired Room, which I highly recommend).
TV & Console Table
While not super recent, I realized that I don’t think I shared some new little plants that were added to the TV stand. These are Ikea, and I wrapped the existing pots in some leftover fabric when I couldn’t find any the right size and color. The candle holder was moved over from the buffet in the dining room.
On the console table behind the love seat, the little glass jar is now filled with some acorns, and a cute little white pumpkins brings some more fall flavor.
Next week, I’ll share the full fall dining room tablescape (some sneak peeks on Instagram this week!), and then next Thursday is the kickoff for the One Room Challenge!
Shared on Thoughts of Home on Thursday, Flaunt it Friday.
