Welcome to my first Christmas decor post of the season! I’m thrilled to join a group of talented ladies to bring you some wonderful tablescape inspiration for the holiday season. As you know, I love plaid so decided to go with a very merry plaid Christmas tablescape. And you can check out my favorite plaid Christmas decor in this post.
Table Setting

I found the two sweater print vases at the flea market a few months ago – originally from Crate & Barrel. After hoarding them for a few months, I was excited to finally use them for Christmas. I found the vase on eBay, but these from Target could work too.
The berries are faux, but the greenery is real. Finding the right greenery was tricky – it was the week before Thanksgiving so all of the bouquets weren’t not exactly Christmas-y. I ended up purchasing one and tossed the more fallish colors.
Centerpiece
For the centerpiece, I used a piece from the Target Hearth and Hand line (available in black too!). I tried really hard not to buy too much, especially since I already owned some similar pieces, but this galvanized rectangle vase was really different.
Plus, it comes with a frogger, which made it really easy to arrange. If you don’t know what frogger is, it’s a little divider that goes inside a vase so that the flowers don’t flop over.
In addition to the greenery, I added some spray painted pine cones (a fall and winter favorite), and a few red ornaments for some pops of color.
I left the green burlap table runner from Thanksgiving, but layer a red and white striped runner from World Market. A little more simple than last year’s plaid tablecloth, which is still a favorite (find it here).
Place Settings
At each place setting, there is a plaid napkin (Target Threshold), along with the cute little bell place card holders from the Hearth and Hand line at Target.
I wasn’t sure about the quality given the price ($2.99 each), but they are very substantial. Nice and heavy and have a cute little bell sound when you ring them. And, of course, more ornaments (my favorite Christmas decor go-to)
I also added one of my vintage Merry Christmas glasses to each place. I love these glasses – so much fun for the holidays! I recently spotted another set an antique store so keep an eye out and you might find some.
Make sure to check out all the wonderful holiday entertaining ideas below! And tomorrow, I’ll be sharing a little more of the dining room on the first stop of my Christmas home tour. Happy entertaining!

I don’t think I’ll ever get my fill of plaid and I love this table. Each time I’m out thrifting or just shopping I keep my eyes open for a galvanized vase like this. Your styling and pictures are great. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
